The above lottor is real. The girl who wroto it has been sending the DOB an average of $30-$40 a month this although she apparently holds a low-paying job and receives no material advantages from her association with the DOB other than THE LADDER.

Since we moved to our own offices last March our expenses have more than doubled. Our rent increased five-fold and printing costs for THE LADDER doubled. Wo have been keoping up with our bills but just keeping up. This gives us little leo way for improving THE LADDER and for other projects.
